I'm an active Christian that loves to bake and capture precious moments with my camera. I was born and raised upstate New York. In 2001 I moved to the "Big Apple". Boy...was that a big change!
I enjoy spending my free time at home baking cookies and other tasty treats. As well, I like to run and participate in Karate. I try to keep very busy and positive.
I dream that someday I will be able to own my own desert parlor. I imagine hearing the bells jingle on my parlor door from someone with a sweet tooth looking for a dessert or snack to enjoy. I see them ordering a mini pie or small tart and a cup of tea, find that perfect round table near the window. Then, noticing how humble they are feeling from the sweet taste of fresh baked goods; deciding how many they should purchase to have wrapped up to take home or as a delightful gift to a friend.
My grandmother is the special person in my life that inspired me to pursue this hobby. Growing up I used to visit her every holiday and spend all my summers watching and learning her techniques,baking habits and even a few of her own recipes. She is much of my inspiration and motivation to make people happy through sweet, tasteful desserts. Still to this day I call her asking for recipes helpful advise on baking. Some days I even recall a specific baked good that she once made when I was younger and convince her to share the recipe with me.
